Description

B characteristic (“fast”) 10kA rated short-circuit current. The circuit breakers are produced according to the latest European standards EN 60 898 and EN 60947-2.

The automatic fuses are very easy to install. The connections to the automatic fuses enable the connection of both cable and phase rail on the underside of the fuse at the same time. Fork or pin rail are useful. Cable can also be connected on the top side.

The circuit breaker's good properties, such as thermal overload protection and electromagnetic short-circuit protection, make it very suitable

as protection for cables and devices. The automatic fuse must automatically trip at a predetermined current value.

Use

In general, a fast fuse provides better wire protection than a slow fuse, as it resolves faster in the event of a short circuit. Fast automatic fuse

also improves selectivity to pre-connected fuse. Therefore, the fastest possible fuse should be selected, which does not trip when e.g. starting currents. In order to improve selectivity, the pre-connected fuse should also be slow and have as large a rated current as possible.

Homes with 16, 20 or 25A main fuse

• Try using slow main fuse to improve selectivity in the plant.
• Use B characteristic (B) generally, which gives better selectivity than C.
• Use C-characteristic (C), where there is a high risk that B triggers for e.g. microwave, central vacuum and special loads with high starting current.

Shops, industry, offices and public environments with main fuse greater than 25A

• Use B characteristic (B) for lighting groups, kitchen appliances and other groups, where the load is known and has a low starting current.
• Use C-characteristic (C) for outlet groups and other groups with unknown loads or loads with high starting currents, e.g. motors, fans and transformers.
