Heating Cable For Downspouts/Gutters, Defrost Gutters, 230V, 18W, Nexans 8956800
Description
Defrost Gutter melts ice and snow on roofs, in gutters, downspouts and drains. The cable is self-limiting and regulates its output depending on the ambient temperature and the medium in which it is laid. Defrost Gutters can be cut to the desired length directly at the workplace and must always, regardless of length, be connected to 230V. The cable cannot overheat even if it is crossed or if the cable is covered by e.g. leaf. An automatic gearbox is recommended for regulation. Installation method in downpipes and gutters.
Installation method in downpipes and gutters. The heating cable is easily laid in gutters and downpipes with a width of up to 150mm. In gutters/gutters with a larger width, two or more layers are laid, depending on the size. The cable is placed loosely in the gutter and close to the ceiling, alternatively the cable is glued with the intended glue. When descending into a downpipe, the cable is attached to a suspension hook (8959510). For longer downpipes, over 20m, a carrier wire can be used to relieve tensile stress in the cable. The cable is connected directly in the junction box and in the case of T-branches between the gutter and the downpipe, the branching takes place in the junction box. When the cable is dimensioned for the installation, the length of gutters and pipes plus 1% for connection to the voltage supply is added up. In addition, add approx. 1 m of cable per branch.
