Description

Nails and screws for attaching ceiling and ridge tiles must be made of stainless steel and with a diameter of at least 3 mm. The diameter of the nail head must be at least 1.5 x the diameter of the hole. In at least two tile rows at the eaves, gable and ridge as well as around the penetration, each roof tile must be nailed, screwed or stapled. All ridge and special pans are nailed, screwed or clamped. For roof slopes between 45˚ and 55˚, every fifth tile is attached, and for roof slopes over 55˚, all tiles are attached. In locations exposed to the wind, every third tile is attached in diagonal rows over the entire roof surface. When the screws are not covered by any overlapping pan, a screw with a sealing washer is used, e.g. ridge pan with seam and Carisma ridge pan.
