Description 

An all-current sensitive residual current device of type B, capable of detecting all types of fault currents: pure alternating current, smoothed pulsating direct current, and pure direct current. It can also handle currents that contain mixed frequencies ranging from 0 to 1000Hz. Type B is specified in various types of installations, including electric vehicle charging stations, frequency converters, uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), welding equipment, escalators, elevators, etc. Installations that generate direct currents above 6mA render a standard type A residual current device completely ineffective and it will not trip. The residual current device is not intended for pure direct current installations or alternating current installations with frequencies other than 50Hz.
