Description

Fine-sawn smooth pine rafters with grooves (raw surface) from Baseco. The pine raw material comes from late-growth forest in Lapland, which has a large proportion of heartwood and lighter sapwood at the edges. The core is reddish and varies in tone. The drying down to an 8 percent moisture ratio can cause cracks in and around the twig. Please note that the minimum order is 15 square meters.

The type of wood used is pine, which is a common type of wood in Scandinavia. The quality of the wood is "Wildland", which means it has a rustic and natural look with variations in color and grain. The wood is untreated, which means that it has not undergone any kind of surface treatment or impregnation to protect it against moisture, dirt or other external stresses.

The wooden panel is supplied in descending lengths, which means that the lengths of the boards vary and may be shorter in some places. This gives a natural feel as the trees are not always evenly tall in reality. The panel is also end mitered, which means that the ends of the boards are profiled to fit together tightly and create a seamless surface during assembly.
