Murblock Bas ECO is a masonry block made of lightweight clinker, a so-called lightweight clinker block, and one of our climate-positive building products. The lightweight clinker block is thus included, just like Masonry block Advantage ECO, in our green ECO line. What makes this masonry block unique is that it has a built-in carbon sink, in the form of biochar, which compensates for the climate impact of the included cement. The lightweight clinker block's effective carbon sink binds carbon atoms and thus contributes to a reduced greenhouse effect by preventing carbon dioxide from forming and being released into the atmosphere. In combination with climate compensation, mainly via a biogas project in Brazil certified according to the Gold Standard, this results in a masonry block made of lightweight clinker with an overall positive climate footprint. A versatile lightweight clinker block with a built-in carbon sink, in the form of biochar, which corresponds to the climate impact of the cement in the product. The areas of use are many and the block is used like Wall Block Base for walls, walls etc.
